“It's not easy being green...”
- Kermit the Frog
Many people think that to truly be green, you must 'do everything'. That can be overwhelming and maybe it is why some people don't do anything.
| Sable says: We can all make a difference,
one paw at time....
It doesn't have to be all-or-nothing. The team on the trail does not set out on an expedition thinking about the 1,700 miles ahead. Instead they take it one ski-stride at a time - one paw in front of the other.
I've been busy trying to become green. Kinda like Kermit the Frog! And like he says, “it's not easy….” I'm doing a howling-good job and I want to help you become green too.
This is Green A-to-Z with Sustainable Sable
Use my list of ideas to see what little changes you can make in your daily life.
Along with each idea is a measure of its impact in pounds of carbon dioxide per year. Add or subtract the amount of carbon dioxide for each entry as it applies to your lifestyle and you'll get an idea of how much of an impact you’re making.*
Remember: Being green comes in many shades.
You don't have to do everything to be living green!
"...it's beautiful, and I think it's what I want to be."
*These calculations are based on the latest studies in this area. Because we all do things in different ways, carbon emissions vary according to the person, where you live, how you live, and many other factors. The numbers are meant as a guide for action, rather than exact calculations. Nevertheless, hopefully the figures will play an important role shaping the future of our planet.
