A friend loaned me this book and said I MUST read it. It is a combination of inspirational, funny and heartbreaking. It's one of those books that once you start reading, it is hard to put down because you need to know what happens next, and you need to know right now. Make sure you start this book in the morning and have nothing scheduled for the rest of the day.

This book is written from the dog's point of view, which makes it more interesting. The dog, Enzo, tells his story as he is dying. He speaks of his love for Denny, his caretaker, and Denny's great love of auto racing. Enzo believes that he will return after his death as a man, and he will return to Denny somehow.

This book was given to me solely because there was a dog on the cover! It was in the bargain bin so my friend thought, why not. What struck me from the beginning is that it is written from the dog's point of view. It is cleaver and entertaining. If you have a dog, you will not be able to help but wonder what s/he is thinking and how dogs perceive our human actions. At least for this book.. you can judge a book by its cover.

Very entertaining and enjoyable. There were many many times that I not only laughed out loud, but I laughed so hard and loud that I woke up my dogs.
