Throughout the live GoNorth! Nunavut 2009 expedition, Team GoNorth! will provide GT data point information and images from various sites on the trail.
The latitude and longitude of any location on Earth can be identified using a global positioning system (GPS). Upon identifying one's location, these GPS points can be used within a geospatial technologies (GT) for geo-referencing of any location on Earth. For example, you can overlay any type of map (physical, cultural, political) on top of your location and associate photos and data with your location which can then be used for investigation and data analyses!
